Speaker:
Marc Bodmer

Computer games - in comparison to the consumption of feature films - require an achievement to open up their content. This often makes it difficult for non-gamers to understand computer games.

If these are one's own children, this can quickly cause concern: Do video games make them violent? Or even addictive? Why do games exert such fascination? How long can my child play? Is there anything to learn from computer games?

Answers to these questions and a short insight into the elective course on the programming language Scratch offered at the Rietberg Montessori School are provided by Marc Bodmer, lawyer and game consultant. He looks back on 25 years of professional experience in dealing with games and media competence promotion and enjoys international expert status.

The introductory presentation to the workshop will be in German. The presentation slides will be shown in German and English. The Q&A session will be held in German and English.

We look forward to your participation!
