Kindergarten
The Montessori Method is based on the careful observation of children and focuses on aiding and supporting the child’s natural development.
At the age of 3 years, children come to kindergarten five days a week for morning sessions from 8.00 am – 12.00 noon. As soon as the children are ready for a longer day, they can stay at school until either 1.30 pm or 6.00 pm. In the afternoon, older children are offered activities such as woodwork, gymnastics and painting in the art studio in addition to tuition in the Montessori classroom.
The children are given presentations individually or in small groups. They may work at their own pace with activities they have already been introduced to, either individually or with other children. As they work together each day, the children develop their social skills more and more and they learn to deal with social situations with grace and courtesy.
It is our aim to support the children in fully developing their personality, their abilities and skills and to encourage them to become part of a social group. Qualified Montessori teachers teach and assist the children in mixed-age groups. The tuition languages are German and English.
Childcare hours
- The School is open daily from 7.30 am - 6.00 pm.
- Wednesday afternoons: Childcare and meals available on request
12.00 noon - 1.30 / 6.00 pm
Lesson time
- Mornings: 8.00 / 8.30 am - 12.00 noon
- Mornings including lunch: 8.00 / 8.30 am - 1.30 pm
- Full day: 8.00 / 8.30 am - 3.30 / 4.00 pm
- Wednesdays until 12.00 noon
